"Dim Dreams"
Posted at 4:56 PM
And here we are with a black and white photo of me. I deliberately posed for the mood of this poem. |
(a poem by me)
This dream came to an end
The light in your eyes faded
I have lost your shadow again
In my heart, sorrow pervaded.
A convoluted mess of thoughts
They are always my best friends
A commodity to my lonely existence
As our temporary "us" ends.
Our gaze holds for seconds
One, two, three, glance away.
How it lost its regard for me
Puts my life into disarray.
I fought back lamentation
For a companionship with you
I bottled up these proses in my head
My distaste for love grew.
Follow me into the dark corners
Of a shattered utopia we once made
The rubble of our touch disintegrates
The life we knew, sliced by a blade.
Calmly, I tread your waters
Too afraid of your depths and gloom
Waiting on the shallow side
Hoping a ship will dock soon.
Exploring this ghost down
Its disheveled bricks and bones
Had me grasping for a single light
In this area I've ever known.
Gasping for breath, clutching your hand
You've pulled away for long enough.
This distance that creates a gap of silence
Had me wishing for some form of luck.
Meet my heart halfway
I'll walk towards you once more
You were all I ever needed
You're all I ever wished for.
Note: God, I sound like someone so desperate ahahahah. Dammit, this was suppose to be separated into stanzas.
