To grant myself with your loveIs a blessing that I can't sustain
Swallowing up your words like the tide ashore
Leaving but my own self to wane.
The deep darkness instilled within meGathers your rays just like the sun's kiss
Hopefully I'll break through this cage
And bring back that nostalgic bliss.
Though the lull of the sea meant peace
Your feelings never wavered
Your subtle attempts to capture my heart,
Grateful at how it's I you favored.
That deep longing and desire to understand
What you meant through our short time
It grew on me like the blooms in SpringBut still, I was blinded by a clouded paradigm.
When you quickly reached out your hand
And offered me the air to breath
Truly I couldn't let it go
The feeling of wanting the sea.
Many years may have come and gone
Yet we are still in the same place
When the ocean becomes impatient and fierce
My true feelings I've come to face.
Leaving shattered the dreams
We longed for so long ago
Building up these shattered seashells
We decided to swim against the flow.
Afternote: Actually this is like… the 2nd draft. I needed to edit some words but this is how it'll go as far as the rhyme is concerned.
It's basically from Manaka's perspective from now and then. :)
