Gone Girl Review
Posted at 6:47 PM
So I started reading Gone Girl (by Gillian Flynn) during Exam week. It went in slow and I should have known that it should have been categorized an "adult" book because they are pretty straightforward with the cursing and sex (more detailed then I'm use to). I was bored for the first couple parts. However, I should have expected that this WASN'T your usual martial spat, romance that was falling apart, all that kind of reparable shit. After I finished part one of the book, part two just… oh my god. I could put the book down. Whenever I had the ink of a chance to read, I took it. I finished the book yesterday and I was just… no… that ending… This has got to be one of the most twisted, darkest books I have read so far. What a nice way to end off my 25 Book Reading Goal as well (sarcasm). I can't wait to see the movie *^*I loved and hated the characters. More like hate and agonized over how fucked everyone was because certain situations that they were in… how they were played… how the case wasn't solved properly… how psychotic and simply sociopathic Amy was. But God… did I love it.
At some point, I thought I'd go mad. The book left me filled with dread and I'd have to stop after a while. Now that I've finished.. it's just… why.
Would recommend people to read this.
