I'm still thinking of becoming a novelist, though I have such a biased and single perspective of how a life may go about of a writer. So I did research and it's not as simple as I assumed it to be. However, I'm okay with it because I get to plan my own schedule (with exceptions of having to make plans with others in this industry) and work wherever I please. But the market is pretty competitive and you have to promote your book and what not and the traveling and ugh ;-;Truly, I feel like I fit the requirements of someone who will be able to take up writing as a living. I mean, I write pages upon pages of random things everyday and read on occasion as well as attempt to improve my vocabulary in the slightest. Also, I get pretty good critic on things I write. Even now, I can type up paragraphs upon paragraphs since it randomly appears within the premises of my mind. Allen seem pretty impressed though but I feel that he's being a bit too bias because it's ME. I need better critics from others so I might type up a novel online.
But the thing is, where does one have the time to do that.
Well, if I don't waste my time here and there, I will have the time.
I might want to become an editor as well. People ask me to look over their papers sometimes and I make a tremendous amount of marks on their papers. I even over do proofreading some of the things I write. But I think it really showed when I edited Allen's research paper when he walked right out of the room and I started to change words here and there because I wanted to make it a bit more, you know… classy, compelling, sophisticated. Well, I over did that and he got one point taken off and a higher grade than mine since I didn't use my own skills to edit my own paper. Wow.
I finished rereading The Hunger Games. That was my second time reading. I haven't read the second third book, nor have seen the second or third movie. I am so far behind but I don't really mind.
Oh yeah, btw, I'm studying Mandarin again. My prior knowledge helps a great deal because I already know how to read and write most of the words. I just need to improve my tone usage and acquire more vocabulary. I can also talk to my dad in Mandarin as practice because no one in my vicinity speaks the language so this pretty much sucks lol. But my dad's good enough :P
