----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I told myself I looked lovely tonight

| Not wearing an electric blue bow but w.e. That's off the point. Just read the poem. |
Peeling away from societal norms
Such compressing rules I wouldn't conform.
Hair tied up in an electric blue bow
Looking up, waiting for the full moon's glow
The wind rushes through my bedroom door.
I take a step out and down to the first floor.
The night's dark armor on its black steed
Ready to abide to doing malicious deeds
Taking on the duty of Death himself
Conceited with the thought that souls brought wealth.
The stars did not shin that time of day
But isn't gone forever, I hopeful pray,
Climbing over walls and breaking all the rules
Acting with integrity instead of like a fool.
Though the shadows overcome the quiet town
I noticed that there'll be no one left to renown
The childhood stores and areas I've been
Is nothing more than contamination of sin.
Work, how heavy, the blood painted doors
Dead bodies limp and all over the floor.
The ribbon unties from my electric blue bow
Looking around, I realized the moon ceases to glow.
In the end, there's no more societal norms
Nothing left for me to be forced to conform
As I make my way to bed that night
I smile in my blood-stained casual white.
