TMJ Gahhhh!

So I've had TMJ for awhile( in short, a condition in which your jaw locks and you can't open your mouth all the way). If you don't have this, then lucky you. But I've had it for months and it has never gone away and it happens almost every morning. I have to move my mouth around to free it and when I can't open my mouth widely because some kind of mouth joint stops me, its uncomfortable. I tried opening my mouth wider even though it stopped midway through opening (bad idea) and heard a popping noise and got scared. Ugh. Why? What did I do to my mouth? I mean, it's almost a year and I never checked up with it until asking the doctor last month and they said I should go to the dentist. Then dad said he'd make an appointment but does he know that it's for Joint dislocation and NOT for a check-up. And I've researched that it gets worse when you move your mouth around and you hear NO popping noise. It's not annoying to hear these popping noises when moving my mouth(because i'm use to it now) but UGH. I should worry that there's NO popping noises.Good news: Easy to treat. I don't think mine is where we need surgery (do we need surgery for this kind of thing?)
^^ Me on mornings when I can feel that my mouth won't be able to open until the next few seconds when I make my joints dislodge itself from eachother.
I went through a lot of ... things this year. I mean, first it was cornea abrasion, then pink eye, and then TMJ and it's like... What's with me? I had irregular sleeping habits (but gladly that STOPPED) and yeah... I think this year was just full of ... crappy situations.. ;_; Especially involving family of course.
