So I found out that Walt Disney was full of lies. My friend and I were talking about stories and stuff. I started it when I told her what I know so far of Attack On Titan and she said it was sick! Yeah, ikr. Then we started discussing about Walt Disney and Phineas and Pherb though I have never watched it, I know what it's about. And guess what? It's based off of a real story. Phineas and Pherb and his/her other sibling are born with some kind of mental defects. One of them is also retarded. The girl in real life did suicide in 2007. She had problems too. She had a diary with an account of her and her sibling's adventures and she had always told her mom to get her attention. And then there comes the story of the Little Mermaid. THE REAL one. The Little Mermaid and her siblings, when they come of age, could swim to the surface when they become of age. And like, when it was her turn, she fell in love with a prince and saved his life. Her grandmother told her that mermaids live for 300 years (200 years longer than humans) and when they die, they turn to sea foam and cease to exist. There were religious allusions as well because it was mentioned how humans have soul and after they die live eternally with God. And since the little mermaid wanted it, she maid a promise with the sea witch who took her voice and gave her legs. However, whenever she walked, she would feel pain. WTF. Oh hell no. But she only danced for the prince. But she needed to win his heart and marry him so that part of his soul can seep into her. But the prince thought this princess from the temple saved him and they married and the girl, broken hearted, fell into the sea. It was also mentioned that her sisters gave her a knife so she could spill the prince's blood and if she did, she'd return to mermaid form. HOWEVER, she couldn't kill him and she died and became foam. Because of course, she can't go back to being a mermaid and part of the contract was that she die ... but instead of ceasing to exist, she becomes the daughter of the win, a group of people who have also attempted to attain a soul and fail. So now, all she has to do is work and she'll be able to live with God. ._. That's a bit scary.... Cinderella...I've seen the Khmer version with my mom :DAlso, the Grimm Brothers or whoever else made these stories.... And like, they're darker. Walk Disney made them happy go lucky in the end because kids were going to view it. How sad...well, that's good. I mean, I don't want to know about these sad things when I'm younger. Now that i'm older, I found out the truth to most cartoons and movies I've watched. >.<
